Never Give Up

“Thomas Edison dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality. Practical dreamers do not quit.” ~ Napoleon Hill

As a kid I was taught the old adage that “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again” and it always stuck with me, which on the one hand makes me very stubborn and on the other makes it very easy for me to shrug off failure. No matter what your goal, whether it be a sports achievement, a business objective, a state of mind, a happy marriage, or a great parent, never stop trying to be the thing you want to be. Simply leaning in the direction you want to go will mean that even in failing you will invariably succeed.

(and don’t forget to stay in the present while you pursue your goals – enjoy the journey!)
